Dermalogica Education
Dermalogica and the International Dermal Institute Post Graduate Training Centres provide access to education and support which is second to none. We as skin therapists then get to apply these skills in our treatments and pass knowledge onto our clients. The importance of this reflects through results achieved in salon and by clients at home.
Our academic achievements such as maintaining our “Expert Status” to ensure we are up to date are revalued and reinstated each year providing we have completed all training and requirements, which keeps us fresh and in the game!

Simone, founder of Gloss & Co. tells a story somewhat similar to my own.
Growing up in the days before social media and YouTube tutorials I remember sitting on the side of the bath as a little girl, intriguingly watching my mum while she got herself ready for the day. Skincare, hair and makeup, jewellery and her signature scent at the time, Red Door. We all know it!
Learning beauty tricks was a special bond between friends, mothers and daughters, sisters and aunts to learn how to take care of ourselves while giggling away together reading a dolly magazine rather than staring at a screen on our own.
I’m grateful for how technology has advanced the beauty world and made education more accessible, but some days I do miss the simplicity of living in the moment, one on one with the women I adore and look up to.
This is how Gloss & Co. came to be. A desire to recreate that special bond. To be able to book in with your beauty therapist to chat, laugh and learn self-care.
